Trading Tips in no given order:

• If you can, try to not spend more than half your UEC in one cargo run.

  • With server stability or pirates, not sinking your

full wallet into one run can save you a lot of time, money, and headache!

• Try to find trade routes that can give a good UEC/minute return value

  • Some trades might look lucrative but could end up taking a long long time, depending on your quantum drive or ship.

  • Atmosphere flight in larger cargo

• When driving big cargo ships in the atmosphere, as you approach the area to buy or sell cargo, make sure you are not going too fast

  • If you approach too fast, you can easily ram right into your destination. The bigger ships take longer to slow down so having a controlled speed is always good

• Don’t be afraid to ask about what commodity trading is good

  • Post any questions in our #commerce-general channel in discord for ideas or tips on routes that are lucrative in this patch

• Remember to keep in mind the supply and demand when choosing a trade route

  • If you arrive at a place and either cannot fill up your ship in one go or cannot empty your ship in one sale, then you can end up wasting time sitting to wait to sell.

• Fill up your Hydrogen and Quantum tanks on a regular basis

  • Nothing feels worse than filling up a cargo ship and then not having the fuel to return to port. Try to fill up every chance you get. This may seem excessive, but it can save you and your cargo one day. (Until w

e get refueling)

• Safety first! Lock and close your ships when at the port.

  • Pirates might try to sneak onto your ship and either steal it or kill you after you return. Try to always have it locked to all but party members and close the doors you open when buying or selling commodities

• If you want a usually stress-free low effort way to relax and make some in-game money, trading is your answer!

  • Sit back, put on some music, and slowly but surely rack up that money by hauling cargo back and forth!

• Illicit trading can be good but also dangerous!

  • Often illicit trading can be lucrative if you are smart about it. But when hauling illicit materials, there are multiple ways it can be dangerous.

    • Supply/Demand is very iffy at best

    • If interdicted by cops, you'll get a crime stat when you have illicit materials on board

    • When scanned by a player, they can see you have illicit materials and open fire on you without consequence ??? (Check this)

    • Some commodities might be volatile
